In case you ever need to move your Signal history from an iOS device to Android, I can recommend the following guide:
https://transistor-man.com/restoring_android_signal_from_desktop.html
I just moved 5 years worth of messages in about half an hour. The only limitation is that you won't get all attachments, only the ones synced to your Signal desktop app.
Last time I tried a browser-based x86 emulator was JSLinux in 2017(?)...I've just fired up copy.sh/v86, and it appears we're now at the point were we can run NT4 in our browsers at decent speeds 🤯
I've been thinking about writing a post about reverse engineering the NT4 CD key check, having a live installer right in the browser would be very nice I think
Huge thanks to Théophile (https://tgm.happyngreen.fr/) for packaging termsonic for Archlinux, and to Mk Safavi (https://github.com/MkSafavi) for doing the same for NixOS!
Hopefully this doesn't bring about too many bug reports 😇
Hello! I've set up this GoToSocial instance to get my feet wet with the #Fediverse 🙂
I'm Simon, I write stuff about computers and infosec at https://sixfoisneuf.fr. I also share links I find interesting at https://sixfoisneuf.fr/links, and I have a couple open-source projects available at https://git.sixfoisneuf.fr
My website's name is a play on the sentence "what do you get if you multiply six by nine", from the Restaurant at the End of the Universe. I registered it almost 10 years ago, and it has stuck since 🐬
